"Can't beat the price" 2009-06-20
By Kirkwood (Jamesville, NY USA)
For the price this kit is awesome. I actually just wanted the wideangle lens for hidef footage inside when its impossible to get far enough away from the subject - this does the trick. The zoom lens is a nice bonus and gives a (for the price) surpricingly pertubation free picture.

"Very cheap, gets the job done." 2009-04-10
By Justin Marimon (Ohio, USA)
After spending a ton of money, the last thing most people want to do is go and spend just as much for expensive accessories. Anyone that gets a semi-serious HD camcorder is going to want to be able to shoot in all situations the best they can. These do just that.

The package came very banged up, but nothing was broken, and it is all in working order. I bought these lenses for my new Sony SR11 camcorder. After trying them out, they do have flaws, but for their price, they are really awesome. They come with plastic covers for both sides of the lens, and they come in a small leather bag; so they are well protected. They fit right on the camera and screw on nicely. They both do their job with only small noticeable issues. On the wide, when the optical image stabilization kicks in, you can sometimes see just a little tip of the lens in the bottom left corner. The telephoto will have a VERY noticeable ring on it when you are at full wide-angle. Although, when you zoom in about 3x, that goes away. Not really an issue, because you wouldn't put that lens on unless you were zooming way in anyhow.

The cleaning kit seemed pretty crappy, and the tripod is as well. Oh well, free extras.

I recommend anyone pick these up. You don't have much to loose, and they do have a lifetime warranty.

"Cheap lenses, defects" 2009-02-24
By Tracy Christine Kennedy
What a waste of $30. The wide angle lens I received had defects (specks) *in* the glass, so there was no way I could fix it. The telephoto was fine, but it wasn't as crisp as I would have liked for my SR11. The cleaning kit looks cute, but I haven't really tried using it yet. I'm hoping the seller will let me return this junk and get my money back, but it isn't his fault these lenses are no good.

These lens extend the range of the Camcorder focus allowing both wide angle and 2X distance. They are also very cost effective.

Since it fits right over your camera's existing lens system, a wide-angle and telephoto converter affects the full zoom range of your camera's lens. A wide-angle converter increases your angle of view - scenes include more of the landscape, groups include more people, and interiors show more of the room. A .45x wide-angle converter DOUBLES your angle of view, allowing you to get twice as much in the picture (AND your telephoto setting also becomes wider; not zooming in as close). A 2.2x converter will double your camera's maximum focal length, bringing things twice as close. An Opteka conversion lens can actually improve the image that your digital camera receives, and it's about the only accessory that can. By eliminating flare and ghosting, the ugly cousins of reflection and refraction, before they get to your camera's original lens system, your camera gets a much cleaner image to digitize. Plus, an Opteka converter allows you to use a more optimal part of your original lens system, resulting in more crisp imagery. Nothing changes the way you see the world like High Definition², and no company does High Definition² like Opteka. In the professional setting, Opteka's glass optics define High Definition. Change the way you view the world. Enjoy outstanding detail, enjoy enhanced clarity, enjoy Opteka. With an Opteka 5 piece Lens/Camera cleaning kit it contains everything you need to maintain your Digital Camera! It cleans hard to reach lenses, protects battery contacts, and is very easy and safe to use. Works excellent for lenses, cameras, filters, and it also easily cleans LCD panels. The lens cleaning solution is specially made for removing oil and dirt. The Opteka table top tripod is ideal for backyard observation or anywhere - an ultra-compact tripod is all you need! Opteka lenses are covered by a lifetime warranty.

"your not getting whats posted" 2010-04-17
By Marie D. Kheros
They are showing you a lens thats not to bad but thats not what you get when it comes. They give you a very cheep version of that lens it dose not look like the one in the photo the quality is not the same they dont even have the lens they are showing and whats worse when i talked to them they felt it was perfectly acceptable business practice because it was similar. The only thing that was similar was that they both were a lens.I felt the entire thing was cheep and not worth our hard earned money...

"Useful, sometimes odd, collection of accessories" 2010-03-31
By sig
I purchased this set of accessories because it was a good value compared to what I would have had to spend on individual accessories that I needed. I was very pleased with two of the lenses and the filter kit. The "super wide angle fisheye lens" is okay, but not much of a benefit beyond the already useful and better quality wide angle macro lens. I didn't need a tripod or a camera bag, though they were of decent quality. The kit came with a set of adapter rings to fit all the listed cameras (and probably others), and for some odd reason included a second adapter ring that also fit my camera (in other words, there were two adapters that fit my camera). It also included a little lens cap retaining strap in case you want to keep a lens cap secured to your new lens adapter/filter combination, but it inexplicably did not include a lens cap. Most of the cleaning kit is superfluous. In all, I think this is a pretty good collection of accessories for someone who has just purchased a new camera.
